How are Kias certified?

To be eligible for certification, the vehicle must be five years or newer and have under 60,000 miles on the odometer. If it meets that criteria, the vehicle will then be inspected across 165 different areas. Parts that do not meet our standard will be replaced with a genuine Kia Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) part. Lastly, the car’s history report will be reviewed to guarantee the utmost quality. 

What makes Kia Certified Pre-Owned vehicles different from other used cars? 

While all our used cars are inspected for quality assurance, CPOs undergo an especially meticulous screening process. This is done to ensure that only the most reliable vehicles earn our Certified Pre-Owned stamp of approval. Additionally, CPO Kias come with many benefits not found with a typical used car purchase.

What benefits are included when I certify my Kia? 

There are many benefits that come with certifying your Kia, starting with the extra warranty coverage. Kia’s commitment to quality is at the top of the industry with its 10-year or 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. While every new Kia comes with this, it is reduced to 5-years or 60,000-miles if the original owner sells or trades it in. When a used Kia qualifies as CPO, the original 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty is reinstated. This covers repairs needed as a result of mechanical breakdown on over 600 parts. 

Along with this, every CPO Kia comes with a 1-year/12,000-mile Comprehensive Platinum Coverage warranty for any additional parts that are not covered in powertrain warranties. This includes things like brake pads, airbags, door handles, glass, etc.

Vehicle history reports also help us identify any problems that may disqualify a vehicle from becoming certified. The information we look for during our inspection include:

What is included in the Towing/Rental/Travel Reimbursement Package?

Our Travel Breakdown Protection covers up to $100 per calendar day for a maximum of 5 days per occurrence when over 100 miles from home. Additionally, our Rental Car Coverage includes reimbursement of up to $35 per day for up to 10 days. We also offer unlimited fuel delivery if your vehicle runs out of gas – up to three gallons per occurrence at no charge.
