Three years ago, the Telluride burst onto the scene as one of the most in-demand SUVs in the U.S. Now, the Telluride returns for 2023 with an array of improvements that builds upon its original success.

The 2023 Kia Telluride X-Line and X-Pro are built for outdoor enthusiasts who do not want to compromise luxury or convenience. At the time of writing, the 2023 Kia Telluride is not yet on sale. It is expected to go on sale towards the end of the year, with pricing details to be announced closer to the vehicle’s on-sale date.

2023 Kia Telluride X-Line

The first of the two new trims is the 2023 Kia Telluride X-Line. This AWD-exclusive model will replace the former Telluride Nightfall Edition. Designed for the road less traveled, the Telluride X-Line offers adventure-inspiring features that take the SUV to the next level. Among these include a higher ground clearance, upgraded Traction Control System, and a tow mode for optimized trailering performance.

The new trim also features refreshed design elements to match its added rugged capability. Bridge-type roof rails and exclusive 20-inch wheels make the 2023 Kia Telluride X-Line as powerful and capable as ever. Finishing off the freshly minted trim are exclusive X-Line badging and interior color packages.

2023 Kia Telluride X-Pro

For those wanting even more, there is the 2023 Kia Telluride X-Pro. This AWD trim keeps all of the upgrades from the X-Line and packs on even more capabilities. To start, the Telluride X-Pro increases the SUV’s standard 5,000-pound towing capacity to 5,500 pounds.

The X-Pro is also equipped with exclusive 18-inch black wheels and 18-inch all-terrain tires. Additionally, the SUV features a 110-volt inverter outlet so you can power your gear no matter where you are. Lastly, the new trim features X-Pro badging and embossing throughout.

Bold and Sophisticated Looks

Having been redesigned from the ground up just last year, the 2023 Kia Telluride remains largely unchanged for this model year. This includes the Telluride’s solo engine, a 3.8 liter V-6 producing 291 horsepower and 262 lb-feet of torque. However, considering the number of accolades the Telluride has received since its debut, it comes as no surprise that Kia would continue its winning formula of features.

Designed specifically for the U.S. market, the Kia Telluride is a head-turning commander on the road. Retaining these bold looks for 2023, the SUV undergoes some minor restyling for its new model year. Among these changes are a revised wheel design, taillamps, and rear fascia. Similarly, the 2023 Kia Telluride will be offered in three new exterior colors: Midnight Lake Blue, Dawning Red, and Jungle Wood Green.

Upscale Interior

As before, the Kia Telluride’s interior is captivating and packed with convenience features. The three-row, eight-passenger SUV offers class-leading passenger room. Thoughtful new updates also make this SUV more comfortable than ever. For 2023, the Telluride adds a curved dual 12.3-inch display screen – a 2-inch upgrade from the previous model year.

New for 2023 is also an available Smart Power Liftgate with “Auto Close” functionality. Similarly, drivers will also have an optional Full Display Mirror with HomeLink functionality. Rounding out the interior convenience features are Drive Talk and Quiet Mode. The first uses a microphone to enhance communication with second-and third-row passengers. Quiet Mode cuts audio output in the second and third-row so the audio choices of the front row is only heard in that row.
